The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 284 calls for service between Saturday, April 2 and Friday, April 8. Below are selected reports.

At 11:14 a.m. Saturday, April 2 in Brinnon, a caller reported a burglary that had happened that morning.

The caller had contacted dispatchers several weeks ago with a similar report, and said the same suspect may have returned.

A deputy had difficulty in contacting the victim, but the structure that had been reportedly burglarized was in dilapidated condition.

At 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 2 in Brinnon, a building was burglarized and the caller said all the locks had been cut off.

Numerous items were missing, including generators, goods, and food.

There were no suspects.

At 7:47 p.m. Saturday, April 2 in Port Ludlow, a caller reported suspicious activity in the neighborhood. 

The caller observed a truck on a property that had recently been sold, and a campfire could also be seen.

A deputy contacted a person at the scene, and the person was a friend of the landowner who was doing tree work on the property.

At 1:54 a.m. Sunday, April 3 in Chimacum, a man was drunk and causing a disturbance.

The caller said the man sounded like he was breaking things, and he was not supposed to be on the property.

A deputy found it was an argument between a man and his girlfriend. Both were described as “very intoxicated.”

The deputy was told the man was drunk and was trying to go to bed but tripped and yelled as he fell.

That prompted the man’s mother to come out of the trailer to talk to him. An argument ensued.

A deputy suggested the man ease up on his alcohol consumption.

At 11:54 a.m. Monday, April 4 in Port Ludlow, a person watching a security camera noticed a suspicious vehicle pull into their loop driveway.

The caller wanted to report it because of the time of the incident.
