The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 320 calls for service between Friday, March 31 and Friday, April 7. Below are selected reports.

At 12:16 p.m. Monday, April 3 in Port Hadlock, someone called 911 to report littering in the neighborhood.

A mattress and other items had been left on the side of the road.

A deputy responded to the address and found items in a private yard near a mobile home that had recently caught fire. Nothing was seen on public property.

A deputy called back for a better description of the location, to confirm the area where the unwanted trash had been seen. No further action was taken.

At 10:43 p.m. Monday, April 3 in Brinnon, a woman said she had been attacked by another woman.

She said she was at home when she opened the door and was assaulted.

The woman said the other woman was likely mad because her boyfriend had given her a ride a week ago.

The woman said she was kicked and hit with a knee.

The victim was 35; the attacker was believed to be about four years older.

Authorities attempted to locate the woman at her address but were not successful.

A charging recommendation of fourth-degree assault was forwarded to the county prosecutor’s office.

At 12:04 a.m. Wednesday,  April 5 in Port Hadlock, a woman said she was being harassed by a friend of her ex-boyfriend.

The friend was saying creepy things on the phone.

The woman said she had a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend.

She said it was not immediately clear that the friend had violated the court order, and she was advised to block the man’s number and call back if she needed additional assistance.
