Posted

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 310 calls for service between Saturday, Aug. 20 and Friday, Aug. 26. Below are selected reports.

At 10:32 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24 in Brinnon, an employee at a restaurant said the staff had been getting creepy and very vulgar phone calls from an unknown man.

Other restaurants had also been getting the calls, which involved the man making crude sexual comments to the female staff.

The man made suggestive remarks and insinuated that he was pleasuring himself.

The phone number was traced to the Spokane area.

The restaurant worker was advised to call the phone company to have the number blocked.

At 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25 in Quilcene, a caller reported the theft of license plates from the front and back of his vehicle.

He gave authorities the name of a suspect.

At 9:25 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25  in Quilcene, a caller said someone threatened to kill her husband and also threatened her son-in-law.

The person who made the threats told the son-in-law that he would be carrying a weapon any time he was on the property when they might meet and was prepared to kill him.

Authorities determined the people on both sides of the threat were brothers who live next to each other.

A conversation about the property turned into threats.

They were advised to seek a court order if they thought it was necessary.

At 3:31 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26 in Port Hadlock, a business wanted a woman trespassed from the store for writing a bad check.

The woman was gone when the deputy arrived.

A trespass warning was given to the store, and employees were told to give it to the woman if she came back.
