The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 211 calls for service between Friday, Dec. 9 and Friday, Dec. 16. Below are selected reports.

At 3:24 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12 in Port Hadlock, mail theft was reported in the 100 block of Cleveland Street. Mail was found strewn about the neighborhood.

The theft occurred sometime in the last 24 hours.

At 4:06 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12 in Quilcene, an unwanted person was reported in the 200 block of Mossy Lane.

The reporting party has had several people staying on the property but now wanted them to leave.

The unwanted people were tenants, and the caller was advised of the process for evictions.

At 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13 in Port Hadlock, a resident in the 100 block of Ness’ Corner Road reported a large amount of garbage had been dumped on their private property.

Deputies located names and address for possible suspects from the trash and contacted them. They said they had recently had a birthday party at the grange and the family member responsible for taking the garbage out at the grange had no idea how the trash would have gotten onto the property.

The suspects were put in contact with the resident so the issue could be resolved.

At 12:56 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13 in Port Hadlock, a theft was reported in the 300 block of Chimacum Road.

Someone came onto the property and damaged a fence as they entered.  A deputy was attempting to determine what things had been taken.
