Three additional cases of COVID-19 were reported by public health officials late Tuesday in Jefferson County.
Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic, a total of 198 local residents have tested positive for the disease through Dec. 15, according to Jefferson County Public Health.
The new cases reported Tuesday afternoon involve a mid-county woman over the age of 80, a Port Townsend male under the age of 20, and a south county man in his 30s.
County health officials reported Dec. 15 that 144 residents in the county have recovered from COVID-19; 16 residents who have gotten the disease have been hospitalized.
One death to the coronavirus has been linked to a Jefferson County resident.
Health officials said nine people with active COVID-19 cases were still in isolation.
According to Jefferson County Public Health, a total of 14,527 tests have been administered for the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, and 14,265 have come back negative.
Test results are still pending for 64 people.
Through late Tuesday, 101 COVID cases have been found in Port Townsend residents; 76 in mid-county residents; and 21 in south county (Quilcene, Brinnon, and West Jefferson).
More women than men in Jefferson County have come down with COVID; 100 females have tested positive through Dec. 15, and 98 males have tested positive.
