The Jefferson County League of Women Voters is hosting a series of informational interviews with county office holders on the day-to-day process of running for office and serving in office.
The interviews will be held Tuesday, March 2 and Friday, March 5 and will be broadcast live on zoom and archived online in video and print form as tools to support prospective candidates for public office.
Organizers of the series said each session will feature office holders who will discuss why they ran for office, how they planned and ran their campaigns, and how they budgeted for campaign costs. They will also discuss their official duties and the time they require, and offer advice for prospective candidates.
Per the requirements of the Open Public Meetings Act, no current, past, or future official business will be discussed during the information sessions.
The first session is 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. March 2 and will focus on elections for positions on the Port of Port Townsend’s board of commissioners. Join the Zoom meeting at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82017363138.

Jefferson County’s 2021 Candidate Filing Period starts at 8:30 p.m. Monday, May 17 and ends at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 21.
