Jefferson County wrestlers wrapped up the season in the Washington State Wrestling Association’s WSWA Folkstyle State Championship in Centralia.

The championships featured High School Super State, Freshmen/Sophomore State, and Kids State competitions.

Lily Delgado wrestled at 125 pounds in two matches. “Lil Toro” wrestled twice but two back-to-back losses knocked her out of contention.

Savannah Hoffman wrestled at 120 pounds and placed fifth in the overall competition. 

Chloe Lampert wrestled twice in the 140-pound class and lost twice.

Three boys also competed.

Ike Banks wrestled at 138, but fell to defeat in both matchups.

Logan Massie, competing in the 160-pound class, wrestled eight times overall.

He lost two matches and placed seventh overall, missing the medal stand by one spot.

Kyle Caldwell wrestled at 195 and took third place in the overall competition.

The team is coached by Steve Grimm.

Both of his girls at the championship made it to the medal stand.

Savannah Grimm wrestled at 82 pounds and placed third, while Layla Grimm wrestled at 70 pounds and placed fifth.
