Janet (Jan) Martha Hill passed away July 7th after a short battle with cancer.
Jan was born Jan. 17 1952 in Iowa to Madge and Leslie Hill. She moved to the Olympic Peninsula around 1980 with her former husband.
She was a self-employed landscaper for many years. She was active in Jefferson Aids Society Service, the Democratic Party and the Women in Black. She was an avid reader, gardener and baker of pies and cakes for the neighborhood.
Janet is survived by her sister, Kristin Henn (John) and brother, Blaine Hill (Jane), nephew, Matt Dick (Jessica) and niece, Kristin Carew (Steve) and four grandnieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 15 at the Quilcene Community Center, 294952 US-101, from 2 to 5 p.m.
