James B. Minish

James B. Minish passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. He was born in Port Townsend, on April 18, 1929 to Louis and Rose Enos Minish.

Jim graduated from Port Townsend High School in 1947. Jim married Mary A. Trotto on Nov. 12, 1949 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church. They shared 67 years.

Jim is survived by his wife, Mary A. Minish, eight children, Al (Jane) Minish of Port Ludlow, John (Toni) Minish of Snohomish, Sue (Mike) Nolan of Pasco, Jim (Patti) Minish of Tucson Arizona, Jeff (Patty) Minish of Port Hadlock, Greg Minish of Covington, Gary Minish of Edmonds, 17 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Jim worked for Crown Zellerbach Paper Mill upon graduating from Port Townsend High School until retirement. Living at the same address until his death. Jim was and usher at Saint Mary’s Star of the Sea for many years.

His hobbies were gardening, fishing, crabbing, clamming, hunting and he liked walking on the beach.

Funeral mass will be at Saint Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic church 1335 Blaine Street Port Townsend, WA 98368 at 12 p.m. with rosary preceding mass at 11:30 a.m. Saturday May 27th, 2017.
