You would think that residents could express their concerns about the increased traffic that more and bigger festivals bring to Port Townsend without being scolded by your cartoonist not once, but in three issues.
For her information, the numbers for THING were 10,000+, not the 5,000 she stated in her cartoon. She should get her facts straight. And Wooden Boat is located downtown, not in a residential area of town. Big difference.
You can express your love for festivals like THING all you want. But some have a different perspective. Can we listen to all residents, young, old, and in-between, without using tactics of shaming and silencing those with whom we disagree?
Your cartoonist needs a new target to point her unique drawing skills at. Attacking THING critics is getting old.
