Irving “ Bud “ Steinburg, Jr.

Bud Steinberg died July 12, 2017, at his home in Clifton, Colorado. Born January 19, 1929, he was the son of Irving Steinberg and Olive Gauthier Steinberg. Bud attended Port Townsend High School. He married Marianne Holbrook in 1946 and had three children, Raymond, Richard and Barbara. His second marriage was to Eileen Shoemaker, and they had three children, James, Charles and Daniel.

While living in Port Townsend, Bud’s local employers included Dollar’s Garage, Crown Zellerbach, and Glendale Dairy. Bud is remembered as a fantastic mechanic, a loyal Ford owner, and a football fan who rooted equally for the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos. He loved cats, big dogs, and country Western music.

Bud is preceded in death by former wife Marianne, wife Eileen, brother Bert Steinberg, son Raymond Steinberg, son Richard Steinberg and daughter Barbara Steinberg Kernes. He is survived by brothers Alex Steinberg (Barbara), Raymond Steinberg (Nancy), sister Florence Steinberg, sons James Steinberg, Charles Steinberg, Daniel Steinberg (Cora), several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a few great-great grandchildren.

He was laid to rest beside his beloved wife Eileen in Grand Junction, CO.
