Investigation ongoing in Sequim homicide

Three dead, including suspect

Three people are dead after a shooting inside a residence on the 100 block of Sheldon Lane in Sequim on May 14. 

Deputies with the Clallam County Sheriff’s Office and the Sequim Police Department responded to gunshots in progress in the residence around 12:15 a.m. A caller had reported seven individuals inside the home, including the suspect, and that two people had been shot. 

The suspect, 25-year-old Jacob Hunter, allegedly shot 34-year-old Samantha Faber and 32-year-old James Faber Jr. 

After attempting to negotiate with the suspect inside the home, but receiving no response, officers found Hunter dead inside the home, along with the two victims. 

According to officials, Hunter was an acquaintance of the Fabers and had been living at their residence. Samantha and James Jr. were siblings. 

Next of kin has been notified of their deaths.

The Clallam County Sheriff’s Office’s Criminal Investigation Bureau is currently investigating the homicide.
