Hunters don’t need semi-auto firearms

Posted

Our media are failing us. After every mass killing in the United States, there is much hand-wringing, somber discussions with next of kin, and then we go on until the next mass killing. We repeat the process.

If our media were perceptive, they would report the mass killing and then ask the question: Why don’t we hear about mass firearm killings in Australia? In Japan? In Canada? In the United Kingdom? There may have been one in all of these countries, but generally these nations learn from tragedy.

I support hunting, and I support the hunter’s right to have a hunting gun.

But you don’t need an AR-15 or some other semi-automatic or automatic firearm to hunt deer, waterfowl or rabbits.

Time to state what AR-15s and their ilk are about. They are military killing machines not designed for hunting.
