The Hood Canal Bridge will be closed for four hours overnight later this month so bridge maintenance crews can make repairs, the Washington State Department of Transportation announced Thursday.
The span will be shut down from 10 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17 to 2 a.m. Friday, Sept. 18.
Travelers who use the Highway 104 bridge between the Kitsap and Olympic peninsulas will need to plan for overnight delays, officials said.
Crews could extend the length of the closure to traffic, depending on work progress, according to WSDOT.
The work is subject to weather and tidal activity.
