Throw on some groovy threads and get ready to learn the lowdown.
The latest installment of the Jefferson County Historical Society’s limited History Happy Hour program is slated for 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25 and will feature artists Suzanne Lamon and Frank Samuelson, as well as society board president Jenny Westdal.
The trio will be discussing local history of the 1970s.
The drink recipes for this event reflect what presenters refer to as “the dark age of cocktails.”
But as Westdal recalls, “There was so much fun to be had that no one cared. We will be talking about that fun!”
Drinks will include a White Russian, Tequila Sunrise, and a non-alcoholic Shirley Temple.
Attendance is free. RSVP to pro
grams@jchsmuseum.com to receive an email with the link to tune in via Zoom, as well as a list of suggested ingredients for the cocktail.
A recording of the program will be available to all registered participants, so if you can’t make the date but would like to see the program, be sure to register anyway.
