East Jefferson jumped to a 5–2 win against North Mason last week in girls varsity tennis at North Mason.
Wins in both singles and doubles propelled EJ to the win.
Maddie Hess of East Jefferson fell in her No. 1 matchup, while Lily Morrison and Juniper Cervenka followed with victories in No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively.
The same pattern followed in doubles play.
Sophia Arnovitz and Tiffany Bell lost in No. 1 doubles play, but the next three EJ duos picked up wins.
Adeline Gellert DePalma and Magdaline Ferland won in No. 2 doubles; Olivia Schmitt and Sophia Frank picked up the win in No. 3 doubles; and Oliva Mattern and Myka Briggs won in No. 4 doubles.
