SO ONCE AGAIN I ILLUSTRATE with my hapless great grandchildren—from left Claire, Iris and Simon Camfield-Bronstein. They will have little to do with creation of the near future of the early ‘30s when they’ll still be pretty much adolescents — but will be among those most affected by how quickly it all develops.
My sympathy to those among the generations of their parents and grandparents who are trying to change the nature of things — and my total lack of interest in any future photos of Donald Trump. Everyone knows what he looks like. Despite self-gilding, he’s not handsome. Also these days, it takes very little reading between the lines to see Donald’s threats of violence against New York District Attorney Alvin Bragg (Black Democrat) and members of the Grand Jury considering, at this writing, indicting him (Trump).
The Constitution, incidentally, says nothing about a criminal record as a disqualification for the office of President. Thus, nothing it seems — even if he’s watching from behind bars — would keep an ex-, one-term president such as Trump from seeking, still again, first-time majority approval of the voting public (via the Electoral College).
Although he seems to cling to visions of a white supremacist American dictatorship with himself as chief — and vision not extending beyond his own lifetime — Donald is about out of it where American politics is concerned. Which leaves the GOP with Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida for the next presidential contest in 2024. He’s a lot like Trump. He’s big on laws and appointments preventing recognition of sexual diversity and racial equality. We don’t even want to get started on him . . . so I won’t.
What Republicans seem to need for a complete needed remake of their party is a middle-aged woman candidate with a liberal overtone or two. And good luck with that.
For more about DeSantis, Google: “Ron DeSantis' donors and allies question if he's ready for 2024.”
“International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Synthesis Report” is as good a place as any to start on the Internet where children and climate change are concerned. Better yet is the story headlined “The climate crisis is coming for your children” in the “Opinion” section of The Seattle Times on Sunday, March 26. Just one paragraph from that story reads:
“The warming I have experienced up to present day is much larger than the warming my parents experienced up to the same age,” says Alex Ruane, a member of the IPCC writing team and co-director of the climate impacts group at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies. “And when you look at the same sequence of icons for the present-day generations, you can see that the warming is much steeper.”

The Constitution's Commerce Clause gives the federal and state governments all the authority needed to protect the environment.
Commit to cut total greenhouse gas emissions by at least 50% by 2030: Achieved. In April 2021, President Biden set a new national goal to reduce emissions by 50-52% from 2005 levels by 2030, formalizing it in an updated nationally determined contribution (NDC) under the Paris Agreement.Jan 23, 2023
Of course first the Republicans have to admit climate change is important.
What would also be great if they admitted we need more gun control laws to protect our precious children. But, there's really nothing they can do.
"Tennessee Rep. Tim Burchett (R) said there’s no way to “fix” gun violence, after a shooter killed three children and three adults at an elementary school in his home state on Monday.
“It’s a horrible, horrible situation,” Burchett told reporters. “And we’re not gonna fix it. Criminals are gonna be criminals.”
Wonder how he would feel if it were his children, grandchildren.
Time to call their bluff, it's about saving the planet, saving children, not about how much money you can harvest.

Still suffering that case of Trump-O-Phobia Tom, got into your head like an earworm didn't he? Sad!
So now Tom shifts his bile towards the Republican governor DeSantis who might be a challenger for the Republican nomination for POTUS in '24', after all, "he's a lot like trump" right?
In a previous blog I asked both T.C and M.S, who attacked DeSantis for signing the Parental Rights in Education Act that was passed by the Florida legislature if they were OK with their children and Grandchildren being taught about sxual deviancy, neither one answered the question.

Donald J. Trump indicted in New York by Grand Jury. You can go on and on about all your wonderful Republican friends, but when it comes down to it, a crook is a crook, a liar is a liar, and shoving dead kids under their pile of excuses is about all you can expect from Republicans. Just in hale is a troll, when trump is in jail will he too make excuses for the things these people do? Of course!

Trump indicted by NY Grand Jury. Oh boy! Happy days are here again, right Marge? Indicted for what? paying some ***** to keep his private life private? Gee I guess no other politicians have had their dalliances, slick Willie getting it on with an aide in the oval office, add to that sordid affair Clinton paid Paula Jones $850,000 hush money, why wasn't he indicted?
Campaign finance irregularities? Gee, I suppose that doesn't happen but all the time, right? I suppose you are okay with Inslee sticking the Wa. state taxpayers with the expenses of his vanity run for POTUS to the tune of 2M$. Why is Inslee given a pass on that?
I'll bet you $25 donated to the PT food bank, that Trump will not go to jail.

DeSantis is just out on one major front to destroy public education. Let everyone pick their children’s school at public-voucher expense. Pick one that ignores actual history such as butchery of indigenous Americans, enslavement of Black Africans, the existence of sexual diversity . . . and beautifies the rise of “just like me” conservative Whites. I’d rather Florida just put part of the $40 billion into teacher salaries and let local elected schools boards deal with things.
Both Donald and Ronald would have us ignore statesmen and stateswomen concerned with the multitude—Biden, Hillary, Osama—and vote for self-absorbed dolts such as themselves. Neither has any conception at all of government concerning itself with the non-wealthy.
I wrote this last blog before DJT was indicted and am less concerned with the criminal case here (that may drag out beyond my lifetime) than in the cheating, lying, racism and lack of government involvement that have defined his lifetime. Check the Central Park Five and other periods of years past on the Internet.

An overview of Trump's legal involvements, as of September 19, 2022, were described in detail in The New York Times. On December 6, 2022, Trump's company The Trump Organization was convicted on seventeen criminal charges.
So you think its o.k. to pay someone [Personally, I don't care if they are a prostitute] to cover up the fact that he had *** with them and lied about it? Typical. Lets see what the charges actually are.
Yes, Trump will do jail time, just like any criminal, doesn't matter who the he!! he is, you do the crime you do the time. Anyway, your a troll, go away, far away.

I think it's okay for two consenting adults to do whatever they want to do together in privacy. I do not think it's okay for one party then to blackmail the other party about that relationship.
You say Trump will do jail time, but you are unwilling to bet on it...typical.

"Both Donald and Ronald would have us ignore statesmen and stateswomen concerned with the multitude—Biden, Hillary, Osama".....Osama??? Freudian slip much?
"(I) am less concerned with the criminal case here (that may drag out beyond my lifetime) than in the cheating, lying, racism and lack of government involvement that have defined his lifetime". So the law doesn't matter to you, what matters is your opinion? Is this what Biden meant when he said "We choose truth over facts"? You don't want to see a lawsuit, you want to see an inquisition.

In 2006 they were consenting adults. In 2016 when he paid her off to keep her mouth shut to win a presidential election, that's a crime. Using campaign money to conceal information, no matter how it's covered up is a felony.
And why the he!! would I make a bet with a troll?

If anyone cares to do a little research, do a web search re: Stormy Daniels/ Trump and Paula Jones/Clinton, and judge for yourself.
M.S. Please cite to me the law that you think Trump broke.

Well here it is, I thought a troll like you would be aware of the many criminal charges against Trump, but wait, that's right your part of the Republican Deluded party.
Donald Trump faces more than 30 counts related to business fraud in an indictment from a Manhattan grand jury, according to two sources familiar with the case – the first time in American history that a current or former president has faced criminal charges. [Found guilty he faces four years in prison, a better place for him that in the White house}

I am aware of the many grand jury charges against Trump, which are meaningless unless they cite a specific law violated. I asked for a citation of whatever law you think Trump violated, not vague allegations fed to you by the MSM.

Typical Trump-hating Democrat. Thinks Trump should be in jail but cannot cite a law that he violated and attacks DeSantis for signing a parental rights act into law but can't say if they want their own children to be taught sxual deviancy in grade school.

Tom, you've been a good steward of the left's storyline which is in large part BS. Just as the entire "Russia collusion" story was a creation of the Democrats and turned out to be total BS. And just as the two impeachments accomplished nothing other than provide fodder for the Trump haters so will this latest load of crapola.
What you and I consider "decent" news reporting are two different things.
