Georgina Emily Graves was born Sept. 5, 1942 to Margaret and George Hicks. She left us on Dec. 3, 2018 after a long illness. She was born in Seattle and spent most of her life in Jefferson County. She was a member of the Snohomish tribe of Indians and attended Chimacum High School before becoming a licensed beautician. She was married on April 10, 1965 to Ervin Graves, and they were married 53 years. Together they enjoyed spending time camping, hunting, and fishing in the outdoors. They adopted and raised two children, Fred and Brenda.

Georgina genuinely loved her friends and family. She had a big heart and cared for her three sisters and younger brother. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Anthony, George and Ben. She is survived by her son Fred (Tracie) Graves; daughter Brenda Gasperin; grandchildren Justin, Steven, Cassandra and Nicole; siblings Ardith Hicks-Cook, Andrea Hicks, Teresa Jones-Hicks and Joel Hicks.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16 at the Kosec Funeral Home, 1615 Parkside Drive, Port Townsend. A reception will follow at the Elks Lodge #317, 555 Otto Street, Port Townsend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made by bringing a new, unwrapped toy for a girl or boy to support Toys for Tots. A donation bin will be at the Elks Club reception.
