“Buskers on the Block” is back in downtown Port Townsend this week.
The program of free, casual small-scale performances starts at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 7 with singer/songwriter Jack Dwyer, and continues on Thursdays through May.
The series is sponsored by the Port Townsend Main Street Program and The Lighthouse Café. According to Main Street, most performances will take place at Tyler Street Plaza.
“We held this popular series last spring, thanks to a grant from the First Federal Community Foundation. It’s a great way to support local performing artists in the heart of our downtown Creative District,” said Mari Mullen, executive director of the Port Townsend Main Street Program.
“Come do a little shopping, grab a lunch or coffee, and stop by to hear some music,” she added.
Future shows include Jonathan Doyle on April 14; Corinne Adams on April 21; Phina Pipia on April 28; Jere Canote on May 5;
Scott Braman on May 12; and Kristin Myers on May 19.
The series ends May 26, and the performance schedule is subject to change and weather conditions.
