Two former Centrum Blues faculty members are set to perform Saturday, Feb. 11 at Fort Worden’s Rainshadow Recording Studio.

The concert, which features Orville Johnson and Grant Dermody takes place 8-10 p.m. at Building 315. Tickets are $15, with proceeds going directly to the performers, available online at http://richandgrant.brownpapertickets.com/

Rainshadow is to donate 10 percent of ticket sales to Centrum.

Orville Johnson can sing the blues, pick the guitar and dobro and just about anything with strings on it, write you a song and tell you a story and then teach you how to do it, too. He's been doing it all his life since he grew up next to the Mississippi river and now, years later, after traveling the world and spreading the joy of music far and wide, he's still at it. Johnson is a hard musician to categorize since he can do it all. He's a singer, player, songwriter, author, record producer, loves every aspect of music and wants to let you know about it.

Grant Dermody is a harmonica player, singer, songwriter, and teacher from Seattle. His musical travels have seen him playing with many of Americas most celebrated acoustic musicians. His latest recording, “Sun Might Shine on Me,” marks a long-awaited encore to 2010's “Lay Down My Burden.” Employing a lineup of 26 guest stars, including many of the blues elder statesmen, the album intertwines original songs and timeless covers.
