The Jefferson County Historical Society will present another Archaeology Talk at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 28.
Anthropology scholar and archaeological consultant Gary Wessen will share his findings on marine shellfish remains at the Ozette archaeological site and the cultural behavior they reflect.
His talk will detail what shellfish remains can tell us about how and when these animals were collected and how they were used. The discussion will also provide insight into the social relationships of the people who lived at Ozette hundreds of years ago.
The program will be hosted via Zoom. Find out more about the event and how to register at www.jchsmuseum.org.
