Board members from the Port Townsend School District and Chimacum School District will both interview superintendent finalist candidate Diana Roybal Thursday, Feb. 4.
Roybal is the executive director of elementary education in Cherry Creek School
District in Colorado where she supervises elementary school principals.
She has more than 25 years of experience as an educator and has also worked as a para-educator, teacher, assistant principal, and principal.
Roybal received a bachelor of arts degree in elementary education and teaching and from Colorado Christian University. She also earned her master's in curriculum and instruction from Colorado Christian University. Roybal also holds an education specialist degree in school administration from the University of Colorado, and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Phoenix.
Both the Chimacum and Port Townsend districts have been interviewing finalists this week, and the candidates have faced questions from the school boards, by a community stakeholder panel in each district, and a community question-and-answer forum.
The community is invited to attend the virtual Q&A forum for Roybal at 3 p.m. Thursday. Organizers said there will be an opportunity to provide feedback after the forum.
The forum will be online at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/85886535858.
