The last day for the Peninsula Fiber Artists’ current exhibit at their walk-up “Fiber Habit” space is Saturday, April 12.
“Home Sweet Home,” featuring art quilts and textile house sculptures, is currently on display at 675 Tyler St. in Uptown Port Townsend.
The exhibit features 16 vintage and newer pieces, including contributions by Port Townsend artists Leslie Dickinson, Celeste Dybeck, Brita Kimmerly, Debra E. Olson and Ellen Thomas, as well as by Larkin Van Horn of Port Hadlock, and Susan Sawatzky of Nordland.
The public is welcome to attend the Peninsula Fiber Artists’ meetings on the second Wednesday of each month at 10 a.m., whose locations alternate between the Gardiner Community Center, at 980 Old Gardiner Road in Sequim, and Northwind Art, in Building 324 (the West building) at 200 Battery Way at Fort Worden.
A Washington State Parks Discover Pass is required to park at Fort Worden.
Each meeting will discuss plans for the Peninsula Fiber Artists’ next exhibitions, and three-to-five-minute presentations by the artists themselves of their techniques.
Those who wish to participate in the show-and-tell are asked to sign in upon entry.
The Peninsula Fiber Artists will be meeting April 9 at the Gardiner Community Center, and May 14 at Northwind Art on Fort Worden.
