Longtime Quilcene resident Evelyn Tarr went to be with Jesus on May 22, 2022. 

Born Dec. 30, 1932, in Astoria, Oregon, to Harold and Lillian (Hansen) Judge. Raised in Ballard with siblings Helen, John, and Susan. She majored in music at the University of Washington in 1954. She came to teach school at Quilcene, and here met husband Marvin Tarr. They raised three children, enjoyed hiking, camping, and traveling. She played in the Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra, provided piano and violin lessons, played at numerous events. In mid-life, she decided to follow Jesus and was born again. Many decades, she served in multiple ministries at Quilcene Assembly of God.

Survived by sons, Eugene (Kim), and Peter; daughter, Irene (Doug); grandchildren, Dougie, Leah, Anni, Josie (Ian), and Ellie; great-granddaughter, Finley; sisters, Helen and Sue; cousin, Donna Mae. Thanks to friend/caregiver Margaret, aide Sandy, and Assured Hospice staff for positive contributions. No services.
