Eve R. Glantz

July 5, 1932 – October 10, 2018

Eve left us on October 10, 2018 after a heroic fight with cancer. She was born in Philadelphia to John and Ruby Snyder on July 5, 1932 and later moved with her family to Florida. Eve graduated from West Palm Beach High in 1950 and the following year married Hal Glantz while he was serving in the U.S. Navy. Eve relocated with Hal to several ports including Baltimore, Norfolk, Charleston, and finally San Diego where they lived until they retired and moved to the Olympic Peninsula in 1996. They designed and built several custom homes together including their Kala Point home where they lived until moving to Port Ludlow in 2015.

Eve attended classes in fashion design and interior decorating, worked for an insurance company and retail store, and later opened her own business selling artwork. She volunteered at the Sequim Food Bank two days a week for over 10 years, and along with a circle of good friends spent innumerable hours sewing, knitting, putting on bake sales, and hosting garage sales to raise money for numerous charities. Eve was passionate about European and U.S. history and often enlightened us with trivia. She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed hiking and traveling, and was the consummate hostess entertaining family and friends with countless dinner parties.

Eve was a loving wife, caring mom, and the ultimate Grammy. She was preceded in death by her brothers John and Robert Snyder. Eve is survived by Hal, her husband of 67 years, her son Dale (Lynn), her granddaughter Chelsea Glantz, her sister-in-law Mitzie Snyder, and many nieces and nephews. We will miss her every day.
