Eric James Morgensen, 74, of Port Townsend, passed away peacefully at home on April 6, 2025, after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born on September 5, 1950, in Bremerton, Washington, to Eric E. Morgensen and Edna Morgensen-Seigert, Eric grew up in Poulsbo, more affectionately known as “Little Norway,” as the third of eight children. He was preceded in death by his brother, Melvin Morgensen and is survived by his siblings Sharon Howard, Violet Morgensen, Gloria Siegert, Daryl Morgensen, Allan Morgensen, and Debra Bergman.

Eric dedicated much of his working life to serving his community as a United States Postal worker. A man of deep curiosity and faith, he was known for his passion for history, love of Film Noir, and profound knowledge of scripture. Above all, Eric will be remembered for his gentle nature—a quiet comfort to all who knew him, and a loving father whose love was the pride of his daughter’s life.

He leaves behind an army of loved ones, including his daughter, Osha R. Morgensen, who cherished him beyond measure, and his six siblings.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on June 8th, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses (120 Logan St, Port Townsend, WA 98368).
