Eliseba (Elizabeth) Haviland Stratmann, born and raised in Highland Park, New Jersey, died Dec. 11, 2022, age 50, in a tragic accident on the Olympic Discovery Trail near the Four Season Ranch, Port Angeles, Washington.

Elly was a graduate of Douglass College, Rutgers University. She was a professional caregiver CNA, an expert organic gardener and an herbalist, Her life was deeply rooted in her faith, her love of learning and language and music, and her steadfast caring for others.

A woman who was willing to love and die for the greatest to the least, so they may find the Creator God she intimately knew.

"There is no greater love than to give one's life for another."

She was preceded in death by her baby, "Baby Philip."

She is survived by her husband, Bill Stratmann; step-children, Jennifer Keelty, William E Stratmann Sr., Andrew Stratmann; and Elly's grandchildren, Kyle, Andrea, and William Jr. Also by Elly's unofficial adopted daughter, Echo Davy; grandchildren, Erho, Phoenix, Evan, Diana and Jana; and second daughter, Sarah Burnett; Levi, Zec and Malachi.

Elly is survived by her mother, Jeannette Jones, and stepfather, Terry McGuire; her father, Randolph Haviland, and stepmother, Joan Poole. She is survived by her siblings; twin brother Alexander, sisters, Martha, Amelia,  and the brother she helped raise Daniel and their spouses and children. She is survived as well by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, especially Philippe Pouliot.

The Memorial will be held 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 15, 2023 at the Better Living Center (where she met Bill in 2005 and married him in 2006) on the corner of Pierce St., 1505 Franklin St., Port Townsend, WA 98368. Contact Bill at 360-531-2609 (Zoom info.), P.O. Box 369 Quilcene, WA 98376.

She knew her Creator God. There are many tests in Scripture that proved that she is a child/bride of Christ/Jehovah.
