We have two excellent candidates running for hospital district commissioner. My vote will be for Cheri Van Hoover.
Cheri’s credentials are impeccable. She has significant experience in healthcare delivery and health policy experience, including having won national awards.
We need a person with the ability to understand the hospital issues, including billing and charge rates, the competitive landscape, union issues, expanding hospital services such as dental and mental health, and also someone who can bridge tensions between the commissioners.
Cuts to Medicaid are coming. Cheri has demonstrated leadership in all these areas.
While I appreciate that financial acumen is important, it’s not the top priority faced by our hospital district at this time.
Vote for a woman of integrity to join the hospital district commissioners. Vote for Cheri.
