ELECTION LETTER: Educator McKay good for Chimacum School District

Posted

Jack McKay has been an educator for many years – teacher, coach, principal and superintendent of schools in Washington state – and now he is running for our local school board.

Jack is deeply committed to quality public education and is the executive director of the Horace Mann League of the USA, which considers the public school the cornerstone of democracy.

Since retiring to Port Ludlow, he has been active with the Boeing Bluebills and the East Jefferson County Rotary. He has served on the boards of several of our community organizations.

Jack will bring his considerable experience to our school board. He understands the financial restraints of a rural school district and has high expectations.

His commitment to public education and willingness to serve should be honored with our votes.
