A total of 853 Jefferson County Public Utility District customers are without power after heavy winds swept across the area throughout Sunday night and Monday morning.
The largest outage was near Dabob Road where 561 customers were without electricity at 2:50 a.m. on Monday. The PUD stated that most of the outages were caused by branches and trees colliding with power lines.
Additional locations without power nearby include 102 customers near the Jefferson County International Airport, 84 customers near East Quilcene Road, and 48 on Indian Island.
Today, the National Weather Service in Seattle issued a high wind warning for Port Townsend and a storm warning for the Salish Sea north of Port Townsend at 8:34 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15.
