Crews will be working to place a new culvert at a section of Highway 101 that runs along Lake Crescent's southern shore.
The installation follows a January winter storm that caused La Poel Creek to start flowing over the highway.
Strider Construction is expected to start work Monday, Sept. 21. The project is scheduled to continue through Oct. 31.
Drivers should plan for delays near Milepost 223; flaggers will direct drivers into single-lane traffic during work hours; traffic signals will meter vehicles outside of working hours. La Poel Picnic Area will also be closed as a result of the work.
The project is being managed by the Federal Highway Administration and the National Park Service. For real-time traffic information and alerts, visit the WSDOT Traffic Alert website at www.wsdot.wa.gov/traffic/trafficalerts/.
