A 26-year-old Moses Lake man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after his speeding car crossed the centerline on Highway 104 near Center Road and hit a pickup truck headed west.

The crash was reported just before 8:30 a.m. Monday near Milepost 3.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the Moses Lake man was driving a 1998 Acura Integra east on the highway when he hit a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck that was going in the other direction.

Snow and ice was on the road at the time of the wreck, officials said.

The State Patrol said the cause of the crash was speeding too fast for conditions.

The driver of the truck, a 20-year-old man from Bellevue, was not hurt.

The crash shut down both lanes of the highway. The roadway was fully reopened just after 11:30 a.m.

Both vehicles were totaled in the collision and were removed from the scene by All City Auto Body & Towing.
