A new radio show is broadcasting live from KPTZ 91.9FM Port Townsend. “Deeper Blues” with Chicago Bob will be gracing the airwaves every Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. beginning the first week of March.
A segment of in-depth exploration into the Blues, “Deeper Blues” will delve into the musicians, the performances, and the styles of a uniquely American culture.
“We’ll get to know the performers better, we’ll get to know the meaning of the metaphors in the music better, we’ll get to know the trends and the times better, and maybe we’ll even get to know each other better,” the host noted.
“Deeper Blues” will dish up an hour for listeners to enjoy the richness of Blues Culture with boundless tunes from that time and innumerable stories from the studios.
The show will be a live broadcast on 91.9FM and will also be streamed on kptz.org.
Each segment of the show will be available in the program archive for a couple of weeks after airing.
