Ten ladies with the Discovery Bay Women’s Golf Club gathered for an 18-hole game of “Mutt and Jeff” last week.
For “Mutt and Jeff,” the only holes that count in competition are the 3- and 5-par holes. Net scores are figured using half of a players’ 18-hole handicap.
After a game filled with solid drives, precise putts, and a few mulligans, golfer Cindy Breed came out on top in first place.
The silver spot was a tie between Cindy Westwood and Jodi Stone, while Barb Aldrich and Shelley Peterson tied for fourth.
The women’s club is looking forward to several annual events approaching at the Discovery Bay Golf Course.
The Red, White and Blue Tournament on July 4 will be a scramble with the Discovery Bay Men’s Club, followed by a luncheon and prizes.
Later in July, the golf course will host the Home and Home Tournament with the Cedars at Dungeness Women’s Club.
Lastly, on Aug. 4, the Memorial Tournament will be held with the Port Townsend Ladies Club.
