Sorry to send this in the season of love and joy but I am outraged and want to express this: Why would a 16-year-old find pleasure in running over deer at night in our town?
Who are the parents and did they teach him deer are bad? How does he know the deer was not still nursing a new fawn?
Will we let him off and look the other way and say oh well, good riddance? What happened in the other three cases where he ran over deer?
Was he held accountable? Can he feel the pain he has inflicted? What is next, toddlers or even us adults? Research shows that abusive adults start by abusing animals in their youth.
