A new infection of COVID-19 was reported in Jefferson County late Tuesday.
The number of confirmed infections of COVID-19 stood at 69 on Tuesday, Aug. 25 in Jefferson County.
A total of 36 of the cases involve women; 33 men have been contracted the disease.
Jefferson County health officials said 6,362 have received tests for COVID-19 through Tuesday, and there have been 6,226 negative test results. That means 1.1 percent of people who have been tested have come back positive for the coronavirus.
Officials said test results are pending for 67 people.
So far, 54 patients have recovered from COVID-19.
