COVID-19 cases in JeffCo now number 57

The number of confirmed infections of COVID-19 has risen to 57 in Jefferson County, according to a Thursday afternoon update from county public health officials.

That's an increase of two cases from the 55 reported earlier this week.
Through Aug. 13, a total of 5,590 residents in Jefferson County have been tested, and 5,500 people have tested negative, or 1 percent of tests completed.

County officials reported Thursday that test results are pending from another 34 residents.

According to the latest statistics, 31 of those who have tested positive are female, and 26 are male.
