The number of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 in Jefferson County climbed to 90, officials with Jefferson County Public Health reported Tuesday afternoon.
The new case was reported Nov. 3. Health officials said a person in mid-county had been infected with the coronavirus, and said she was under the age of 20.
County health officials reported that 76 patients in Jefferson County have recovered from COVID-19 and are no longer hospitalized.
No deaths in Jefferson County have been linked to the coronavirus.
According to Jefferson County Public Health, a total of 10,861 patients have been tested for the coronavirus since the start of the pandemic, and 10,704 have tested negative.
Test results are still pending for 67 people.
So far, 43 COVID cases have been found in Port Townsend residents; 36 in mid-county residents; and 11 in south county (Quilcene, Brinnon, and West Jefferson).
Most of the confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Jefferson County — 47 so far — have been found in men. Forty-three women who live in the county have tested positive for COVID-19 through Monday.
