Shields Memorial American Legion Post 26 Hall, 209 Monroe St. A destination event for vinyl-lovers, this year’s show will feature 30 vendors from Washington and Oregon, with an anticipated 30,000 records, LPs, tapes, CDs, music collectibles and items of memorabilia. It’s a celebration of music culture, with food trucks, live DJs spinning records and music all around. Attendance is free, and all ages are welcome. Thomas is the author of “Pluck Another Apple, Eve, And Finish It,” her first book of poems. Willie has served on the Nisqually Tribal Council since 2009, when he was first elected at the age of 27. Billy Frank Jr. Day was established by Washington state in November 2015, when President Barack Obama awarded Frank a posthumous Presidential Medal of Freedom. First Fridays Virtual Reality. 2:30-4:30 p.m. Jefferson County Library. Virtual Reality uses a computer, headset and sensors to immerse you into a three-dimensional computer-generated world. Your head, hands and body movements are tracked to let you interact with what you see via the headset. Swim in the deep sea, play games, make friends with a robot or relax with a short virtual movie that happens around you. Planting with seed-saving in mind. 6-7:30 p.m. Jefferson County Library. Learn the basics of seed-saving in this class taught by Jadyne Reichner, owner of Oatsplanter Farm in Port Townsend, who will cover planning your garden, the genetics behind seed production, choosing the best seed to save and how to harvest, clean and store seeds. After 25 years of teaching biology in Sequim, Reichner created Purple Haze Lavender Farm. She worked for the WSU Jefferson County Extension and was employed by and served on the board of the Organic Seed Alliance, the latter of which deepened her passion for seeds. Since 2010, she has continued her seed work at Oatsplanter Farm.
