The Naselle Comets upended the Quilcene Rangers 38-8 in varsity football Saturday in their delayed opening-season matchup in Naselle.
Naselle held Quilcene scoreless in the first half while etching a 6-0 advantage, then went up 30-0 with a 24-point third quarter.
The Rangers finally got on the scoreboard with eight in the fourth quarter, but it was an offensive output matched by the Comets, ending the contest at 38-8.
The non-conference game was originally scheduled for Friday night, but was delayed to Saturday afternoon after the Rangers' bus broke down in Shelton Friday.
