Co-op vote

We’re writing to let the public know about some important updates and details regarding the election for the Port Townsend Food Co-op’s Board of Directors. We’re excited to have 11 exceptional candidates running for four board positions. The four candidates with the most votes will be seated on the Board.

Our Elections Committee has been hard at work managing the election in order to maintain the requisite number of board members for voting purposes (following the resignation of three board members) and for stable and unified governance of the Food Co-operative.

While we encourage our member-owners to vote by email, we know that some people have had trouble receiving their email ballot. For some, we’ve needed updated contact information, for others, opting out of earlier emails or spam filters have prevented our messages from getting through.

If a member hasn’t received their email ballot yet, we’re happy to help them access to the electronic voting system. (We’ve sent three emails so far, so please double-check your Inbox and Spam folder before reaching out.)

You can vote in-person at the Food Co-op customer service desk any time during business hours up until April 10, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. We want to make sure everyone who is eligible to vote has a chance to do so. We look forward to sharing the results of the election soon.

We thank the public for being an active part of our Co-op and the Port Townsend community.

Rufina C. Gara,

Board President

Monica leRoux

Elections Committee Chair

Kenna Eaton
