It was a leap of faith, of sorts.
The Chimacum School Board approved overnight trip requests made by district staff for the 2021-2022 school year during the board’s meeting last week.
The board approved a schedule of 19 overnight trips planned for November 2021 through August 2022. The travel includes multiple camps, playoffs and other sporting events, and band, DestiNation Imagination and Knowledge Bowl trips.
The trips involve students in elementary through high school grades.
“That’s a document of great optimism,” noted Acting Superintendent David Engle.
The travel requests were approved by the board unanimously.
