I am becoming increasingly disappointed in people who think they are too special to behave well during this pandemic.
We are at the edge of an exponential increase of cases in Washington unless we take decisive action. Eastern Washington is finally starting to get with the program, but our part of the state is getting worse.
The recent protests are not to blame. Tourists per se are not to blame, as the majority of visitors I have seen downtown are behaving well.
People eating in restaurants and shopping are not to blame. People gathering socially in large groups and not practicing good health protocols are to blame in large part.
People who think their rights are being violated and making a political issue out of a health-related one are to blame as well.
The longer people think this is a joke, the longer we are going to be in a state of partial functionality. Please start acting like responsible adults.
