The employee was (I take it) in proper employee attire, doing their job as instructed via the employees job description, or SOP, following the YMCA’s procedures as pertaining to the requirements handed down by the YMCA and was absolutely a threat to nobody! Julie Jaman took it upon herself to trample on an innocent person’s civil rights! Had the audacity to inquire as to the employee’s anatomically correct body parts in a shameful manner! Her histrionic behaviors garnered national attention and she’s crying foul!
The YMCA was following the letter of the law and Julie Jaman felt it was in her right to initiate the regretful interaction?
Three cheers for the YMCA for going to bat for their employee!
Discrimination is ugly and it must be a heavy burden for those who feel the need to carry through with that kind of ugly.
