Introducing a new era of winemaking in the Puget Sound region, Port Townsend Vineyards proudly unveils their latest creation – a sparkling wine crafted in collaboration with esteemed winemakers Ben Thomas and Quinlan Corbett. After years of experimentation and a long-standing vision for sparkling wine, the winemakers have developed a unique and exceptional wine using the Charmat method.
This sparkling wine showcases a beautiful effervescence and lively character, making it the perfect accompaniment to a wide variety of dishes, especially seafood. The blend of Garanoir, Auxerroir, and Pinot Noir grapes, grown on the Vineyard on Portuguese Hill, was carefully selected to be well-suited to the microclimate of Puget Sound. Organic farming principles and minimal soil cultivation have been employed to bring out the distinctly local character of the wine.
The Puget Sound region has a rich history of winemaking, and the focus on sparkling wine is a natural evolution of this tradition. The symbiotic relationship between the wine and the renowned local shellfish creates a unique and delicious experience on the table and on the palate.
