The North Olympic Peninsula Chapter of The Compassionate Friends is hosting a candle-lighting remembrance service for families that have experienced the death of a child. The service begins at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 11 at Eastern Hills Community Church, 91 Savannah Lane, off Carlsborg Road, in Sequim.

The Compassionate Friends (TCF) is an international organization providing support for families that experience the death of a child. The North Olympic Peninsula Chapter of TCF, with members from Forks to Port Townsend as well as from Sequim and Port Angeles, meets at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Sequim at 6 p.m. every third Tuesday except in December, when the group instead hosts the annual Candle Lighting Service on the second Sunday of the month – a worldwide TCF event.
