The advertising in last week’s paper made it easy to cast my vote for sheriff in the upcoming election.
The combination of a full-page ad suggesting that Joe Nole is a liar who has no concern for the well-being of our school kids, plus the half-page “check list” which is equally negative, plus the numerous line ads in the classifieds was a sufficient turnoff to sway me toward Joe Nole.
Running a hugely negative campaign is not the way to gain votes in my opinion. The ads are condescending, heavy-handed, and of questionable accuracy.
Mr. Frank may or may not be the better candidate, but based on the tone of his campaign, the decision to vote for Mr. Nole was straightforward.
