Our children deserve a safe, efficient, updated environment to learn in.
When I was on the Quilcene School Board more than 15 years ago, we discussed extensively the possibility of replacing the elementary building. At that time it was found to have many of the same issues it has today and we band- aided it together then, though many of us felt it would have been best to rebuild it.
Now is the time!
Let’s create a space that helps our kids excel and have opportunities to succeed. We don’t need to bus our kids across the water. Shop, art, and technical training all used to be a big part of the Quilcene School. And we can do this without an increase in our current school tax bill! Let’s build a facility that will serve our children’s needs for generations to come.
