Bellevue Christian claimed straight-set victories in girls volleyball over East Jefferson during their meeting Oct. 6.

The Vikings won in both varsity and junior varsity, 3-0.

The scores were 25-16, 25-21, and 15-11.

“The girls were working well together and fought hard. We are so proud of them,” Rivals JV Coach Kaci Zambor said.

Against Annie Wright Schools the next night, the Rivals flipped the script and won three straight.

“Our libero Sophia Petta was killing it last night; she had many quick saves and was doing really well with her serving. Luna Moloitis also had great serves all night,” Zambor added.

The Rivals varsity squad fell to Annie Wright, with the Gators winning 25-6, 25-17, and 25-7.

Macy Aumock had five blocks and two kills for East Jefferson.

Sophie Patterson had four blocks and Alyssa Vandenberg added six blocks on the evening.

“The team fought hard all night and worked together so well,” noted East Jefferson Coach Emily Zenz.

“There were many great plays and long rallies, we are so proud of them,” she added.
