The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 198 calls for service between Saturday, Jan. 8 and Friday, Jan. 14. Below are selected reports.

At 4:19 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12 in Brinnon, a woman said she was threatened.

She reported a man said he was going to bust down her door. He also stole her phone service, she said, and she now had no phone.

If authorities wanted to contact her, she added, they should ask for “Agent 97 with the U.S. government.”

The woman has been responsible for 148 calls to 911 since 2016.

At 4:23 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12 in Brinnon, a storage unit was found empty.

The renters of the unit said they were not behind in payment.

They discovered a lock had been cut off the unit and everything was gone. The unit was now filled with construction items.

Previously, the caller said they had placed artwork, vintage Pendleton clothing, and vacuum-cleaning supplies in the storage unit.

At 7:41 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12 in Port Hadlock, a man reported his bike had been stolen from where it was left at the boat school.

The theft occurred sometime around 1 p.m.

The bicycle was described as a brown Kona Dew model.

At 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13 in Port Hadlock, a man said someone prowled his vehicle while it was parked behind his shop.

Someone took a bag of items from at least one car.

At 10:23 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13 in Sequim, a caller said a large plastic chair they had left at the end of the driveway was stolen.

The chair had been put in the driveway to block traffic during the recent snow but was now missing.

It could not be determined if it was stolen mail or trash that had not been properly secured.

At 2:44 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13 in Port Hadlock, a chainsaw was stolen from a storage unit. The caller said a grandson put the saw in the container overnight, but it had not been locked.

A possible suspect was identified, but there was no evidence to support that the person was actually involved in any theft.

At 12:33 p.m. Friday, Jan. 14 in Brinnon, a caller reported hearing a chainsaw in the forest and thought someone was stealing wood.

The caller also wanted to talk about an ongoing animal issue with a neighbor who lets his dog roam freely.
